Around 1919–1920 he designed several agitation posters, among them Citizens, Protect the Monuments of Art and Books Are the Source of Knowledge. He taught at VKhUTEMAS, won a gold medal for his woodcuts at the 1925 Paris exhibition of decorative arts, and drowned in 1933.
