Its earliest series, of about 1660–70, are given to Kripal of Nurpur; his son Devidasa painted a Rasamanjari for Raja Kripal Pal dated 1694–95. It uses flat saturated backgrounds, a strong outline, angular figures with large eyes and, for a time, beetle-wing cases for emeralds. Its subjects were Krishna and Radha, the Devi, the Ramayana and ragamalas. Examples are held by the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEach print is made to our \u003ca href=\"\/pages\/archival-museum-standards\"\u003eArchival Museum Standards\u003c\/a\u003e: a 12-ink giclée, printed to order.
