Saint Mark, dark-bearded in a deep blue mantle, holds a green book; Saint Sinibaldus, in a dark cap with a green band and a blue tabard over a salmon robe, carries a model church with a tall red tower. Both grip the staff of a fringed salmon-pink banner lettered in white. Two kneeling devotees look up on each side, and penwork flowers in blue, red and gold frame the page.

The original: a leaf from a mariegola, the book of a lay confraternity, painted in tempera and gold on parchment about 1425–34. It is held by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (Robert Lehman Collection).

Cristoforo Cortese was a Venetian illuminator, active from about 1390 and dead before 1445, and a prolific and much sought-after book painter in the first half of the fifteenth century. Among his commissions were registers for the city's lay confraternities, including one for a confraternity of German merchants, whose opening page with Saint Mark and Saint Sinibaldus is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Each print is a giclée, printed to order.
