At left a boy in a blue-striped shirt eats an apple; at centre Fru Astrakan, wearing a green leaf wreath and a dress patterned with small apples, plays a lute; at right September, crowned with a spiked golden crown, plays a reed pipe. Small round apples and green leaves cover the branches around them. From Elsa Beskow's 1920 picture book Lasse-liten i trädgården.

Elsa Beskow (1874–1953) was a Swedish author and illustrator of children's books. Born in Stockholm, she studied at the Tekniska skolan, now Konstfack, from 1890 to 1895 and taught drawing before her first book, Sagan om den lilla, lilla gumman, appeared in 1897. Her breakthrough came in 1901 with Puttes äventyr i blåbärsskogen, and she went on to write and illustrate some forty books, among them Tomtebobarnen (Children of the Forest, 1910) and Tant Grön, tant Brun och tant Gredelin (1918). Her pages set Swedish country life beside elves and talking animals, often within Art Nouveau borders. Sweden's Nationalmuseum holds a number of her original illustrations.

Each print is a giclée, printed to order.
