The River Mersey runs down the left side, its docks washed in blue, with a yellow band of sand along the shore. Green patches mark parks, and a lettered and numbered grid frames the sheet. The title, Bacon's Map of Liverpool Corrected to the Present Time, sits at lower left, with the legend noting that railway stations are coloured red.

The original: pocket map of Liverpool published by G. He bought James Wyld's map business in 1893, and around 1900 the firm was taken over by W. & A. K. Johnston of Edinburgh; maps carrying the Bacon name were still being produced in 1956.

Printed as a museum-grade giclée on Hahnemühle fine art paper using 12-ink archival pigment printing.
