He probably trained in Mainz or Cologne and then in Brussels in the workshop of Rogier van der Weyden, and by 1465 he was a citizen of Bruges, where he ran a large workshop. His clients included clergy, guilds, and merchants and bankers, including an agent of the Medici Bank in Bruges. He painted altarpieces and devotional panels with donor portraits, and portraits set against landscape backgrounds, among them The Last Judgment triptych. His work is held by the Groeningemuseum in Bruges, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Gallery, London.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEach print is a giclée, printed to order.
