In the border of gold ivy and coloured leaves, a bird perches on white flowers in a gold vase and a white hound chases a grey hare.

The Cleveland Museum of Art relates this leaf to the workshop of Henri d'Orquevaulx, a documented manuscript painter of Metz about whom little else is known.
