A crowd of capped, turbaned and fez-wearing men fills the lower left below a skyline with the Eiffel Tower, a twin-spired cathedral, a pagoda and minarets. Slanting red lettering crosses the sky.

Ivan Simakov (1877–1925), born in Kungur in the Perm province, was an architect, graphic artist, book illustrator and poster designer.
