King (1875–1949) was a Scottish illustrator of the Glasgow School, admired for her fine, decorative line and fairy-tale imagination. She studied at the Glasgow School of Art, illustrated books for publishers in Britain and Germany, and worked as a jewellery, textile and ceramic designer. With her husband, the artist E. A.
