On the slope one man raises an arm as a grey tile flies toward him, a trowel in his other hand; another crouches at the eave holding a rope. Below, a bare-chested man sits beside a bundle of clay tied to the rope, a man at the left looks up holding a tile, another squints along a hanging cord, and a carpenter planes a plank on a trestle.
