Two sea-green rectangles lie tilted on either side, a dark bottle-green plane fills the upper right, and a red-brown slab with two cream triangles cut into it sits at lower left. Grey half-discs, navy wedges and soft grey shading fill the gaps.

Lyubov Popova (1889–1924) was a Russian avant-garde painter and designer. After studying in Paris in 1912–13 she worked in a Cubo-Futurist manner, then joined Malevich's Supremus group and from 1916 painted her Painterly Architectonics, overlapping planes of colour with no subject. In the early 1920s she turned to Constructivist stage, book and textile design. She died of scarlet fever in Moscow in 1924. Her work is held by the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

Each print is made to our Archival Museum Standards: a 12-ink giclée, printed to order.
