Bring Fuel, Everything Will Come Alive | Vintage Soviet Propaganda Poster Print

A dense winter scene of snow-capped rooftops and stacked firewood: dark figures carry logs and lead horse sledges along a white hill toward a snow-topped brick factory with arched doorways, a locomotive waits in a tunnel at the left, and small lamplit interiors in the corners show families at a table and around a samovar. Black and red block lettering threads through the scene, with yellow caption plaques, the headline contrasting the dead of winter with the warmth that fuel brings.

Nikolai Pomansky (1887–1935) was a painter, graphic artist, illustrator, poster designer and teacher.
