He is credited with creating the personal commemorative medal, beginning with one for the Byzantine emperor John VIII Palaeologus. An initial S with the Conversion of Saint Paul attributed to him and the Master of the Antiphonal Q of San Giorgio Maggiore is in the J. Paul Getty Museum. The Master of the Antiphonal Q of San Giorgio Maggiore is the name scholars give the illuminator of one of the choir books made for the Benedictine monks of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. Active in northern Italy from about the 1440s to the 1460s, he looked closely at the art of Pisanello, and an initial S with the Conversion of Saint Paul attributed to the two of them is in the J.
