A cream band across the base names the destination in red lettering.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSergei Igumnov (1900–1942) was a Soviet painter and poster artist, one of the founders of Soviet commercial advertising. He trained at the Stroganov School in Moscow and its successors, the Free State Art Studios and VKhUTEMAS, under Alexander Shevchenko and Alexei Grishchenko. In the 1930s he led the team of artists in the advertising section of the All-Union Chamber of Commerce, designing export posters for goods from Borjomi mineral water to matches, and travel posters such as Soviet Armenia, printed for Intourist. He served as a private on the Stalingrad Front and died in hospital in December 1942.
