The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eShaikh Zada was a Persian painter active about 1510 to 1550, trained by the Timurid master Behzad, whose work carried the fine drawing and jewel-like finish of late Timurid painting. In Herat he painted a lavishly illustrated Khamsa of Nizami dated 1524–25, and he later worked in Bukhara for the Shaybanid Uzbek ruler Abd al-Aziz Bahadur Khan, signing the paintings of a Haft Manzar completed in 1538.
