In Herat he painted a lavishly illustrated Khamsa of Nizami dated 1524–25, and he later worked in Bukhara for the Shaybanid Uzbek ruler Abd al-Aziz Bahadur Khan, signing the paintings of a Haft Manzar completed in 1538.
