Behind a barrier a row of spectators looks on, among them a crowned bearded king and a veiled woman. A sweep of red drapery and trappings edged with white heraldic lions fills the foreground. The title is set in blackletter in red and black above the scene, and THANKSGIVING NUMBER '95 below it.

The original: colour print, 1895, Library of Congress, Prints and Photographs Division.

Will Bradley (1868–1962) was an American illustrator, typographer and designer working in the Art Nouveau style. Born in Boston, he was apprenticed to a printer in Ishpeming, Michigan, at twelve and worked as an engraver and typographer in Chicago before going freelance. His flat, two-dimensional posters and covers, drawing on the Arts and Crafts movement and Japanese woodblock prints, helped popularise the art poster in the United States; he ran his own Wayside Press, and several typefaces were cut from his lettering. He later directed films. His posters are held by the Library of Congress and the University of Delaware, and in 1954 he received the AIGA Medal.

Each print is a giclée, printed to order.
