Atmospheric Art Prints

Atmospheric art prints: paintings and prints in which light, weather, night, mist or moonlight set the mood of the scene. The collection includes Japanese shin-hanga woodblock prints of moonlit beaches, snow and dusk by Kawase Hasui, Hiroshi Yoshida, Ohara Koson and Shoda Koho; Edward Hopper's Nighthawks (1942); 19th-century etchings of Paris by Charles Meryon; lithographs by Rodolphe Bresdin; and dark Romantic and Symbolist works by John Martin, Victor Hugo, Max Klinger, Félicien Rops and Gustave Moreau. Book illustrations for Jules Verne by Alphonse de Neuville and Édouard Riou, Albert Robida's imagined future cities and Henrique Alvim Corrêa's War of the Worlds (1906) are also included.

The dusk and moonlight prints suit bedrooms and dining rooms lit in the evening; the etchings work in hallways and studies. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
