Nostalgic Art Prints

Nostalgic art prints: vintage posters, film posters and illustrations from the 1890s to the 1950s that recall the look of earlier decades. The largest groups are Italian posters by Adolfo Hohenstein, Leopoldo Metlicovitz and Aleardo Villa for newspapers, opera (La Bohème, Tosca, Falstaff), Campari and bicycles, and German and Swiss posters by Ludwig Hohlwein and Emil Cardinaux (1907 to 1928). The collection also includes movie posters for Metropolis (1927), Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958) and Saul Bass's Vertigo and Anatomy of a Murder, French travel posters by Roger Broders, Soviet posters of the 1920s, George Barbier's Art Deco fashion plates, and a Jessie M. King children's book illustration.

The selection focuses on commercial art made for everyday streets and shops.

The posters suit kitchens, home bars, entryways and media rooms. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
