Figurative & Academic Painting Prints

Figurative and academic painting prints: portraits, history paintings and genre scenes centred on the human figure, mostly from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The largest group is portraits by John Singer Sargent. Other artists include Jean-Léon Gérôme, John Everett Millais, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, John William Waterhouse, Jacques-Louis David, Raja Ravi Varma, Mikhail Vrubel and Félicien Rops, along with Edward Hopper's Nighthawks. Subjects include society portraits, Napoleonic and Roman history scenes, Pre-Raphaelite figures, Indian mythological paintings, etchings of everyday life, and Christmas and Thanksgiving scenes.

The works were chosen for skilled drawing of the human figure, whether in a formal portrait, a large history scene or a small etching.

The portraits suit studies, dining rooms and offices; the larger history scenes work above a sofa or fireplace. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
