It starts with the original
Every print begins with a high-resolution scan of the original artwork, from museum and archive collections. Never a blurry web image. We read every file at full size before it is listed, and a file that cannot hold up at our sizes is not listed.

Prepared to the artwork's own proportions
Standard paper sizes rarely match the shape of a painting. We size each print to the artwork's own proportions instead of cropping or stretching it to fit, so the composition you see is the one the artist made. Where a small adjustment cannot be avoided, it is kept minimal and checked by eye, so no signature, face or edge of the picture is lost.

Printed to last
Our fine-art prints are 12-ink giclées, made with water-based pigment inks for a wide range of colour and the subtlest gradations. Our prints are rated to stay true for more than 100 years in good display conditions.
Unframed prints are made on Hahnemühle fine-art paper, made in Germany by papermakers working since 1584: German Etching (310gsm), a heavyweight, velvety matte with a light texture for paintings, and Photo Rag (308gsm), a smooth matte for crisp graphic work. Each product page names the paper for that print.
Framed prints arrive in solid-wood frames, handmade to order by professional framers, with low-reflection glazing and ready to hang.

Could I get this print somewhere else?
Yes, you can, and it depends on what you want from a print. If you want a poster to put up on the wall, that is completely fine.
