Middle East & North Africa Art Prints

Middle East and North Africa art prints: paintings and manuscripts depicting or made in the Middle East and North Africa. The largest group is 19th-century European Orientalist painting by Jean-Léon Gérôme, Rudolf Ernst, Ludwig Deutsch and Étienne Dinet, showing mosques, madrasas, bazaars, deserts, scholars, merchants, guards and musicians in Cairo, Istanbul, Jerusalem and Algeria.

It also includes Islamic calligraphy: Qur'an folios from 14th-century Iran, a Timurid Qur'an folio attributed to Ibrahim Sultan, and an Ottoman hilye by Niyazi Efendi.

The selection pairs European paintings of the region with manuscripts made there, so outside and local views of the same places hang together.

The detailed interiors and warm desert tones suit living rooms, dining rooms and studies; the calligraphy folios work well in pairs in a hallway or above a desk. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
