Serene Art Prints

Serene art prints: calm, quiet paintings and prints of still water, mountains, moonlit coasts and peaceful interiors. The largest group is Japanese shin-hanga woodblock prints from the 1920s to 1940s by Kawase Hasui and Hiroshi Yoshida, showing lakes, ponds, snow, Mount Fuji and evening light, with prints by Ohara Koson, Shoda Koho and Shiro Kasamatsu. The collection also includes 19th-century Orientalist paintings of prayer, music and rest by Jean-Léon Gérôme, Rudolf Ernst and Ludwig Deutsch, Maxfield Parrish's Daybreak, John Singer Sargent's Staircase in Capri (1878), and lithographs by Rodolphe Bresdin. These works suit bedrooms, reading corners and other rooms meant for rest.

The works were chosen for low contrast and an absence of drama.

The wide landscapes work above a bed or sofa. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
