Fashion Art Prints

Fashion art prints: posters, illustrations, prints and paintings in which clothing, dress or style is a main subject. The largest group is early 20th-century clothing and tailoring posters by Ludwig Hohlwein (Munich) and Emil Cardinaux (Switzerland), with Italian posters by Leopoldo Metlicovitz and Aleardo Villa. It also includes George Barbier's Art Deco fashion plates, Raphael Kirchner's illustrations of women, and Harry Clarke's book illustrations.

Paintings and prints include John Singer Sargent's Dr. Pozzi at Home (1881), Amrita Sher-Gil's portraits, Ito Shinsui's bijinga woodblock print, Max Klinger's A Glove etchings and Goya's Los Caprichos.

The works were chosen for how they record clothing and style, from advertising and fashion plates to portraits where dress tells you about the sitter.

The posters and fashion plates suit dressing rooms, bedrooms and boutique-style entryways; the Sargent and Sher-Gil portraits work as a focal piece in a living room. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
