Science Fiction Art Prints

Science fiction art prints: 19th- and early 20th-century book illustrations of space travel, alien invasion, undersea voyages and imagined future cities. The collection includes Henrique Alvim Corrêa's 1906 illustrations for H.G. Wells's The War of the Worlds, showing Martian fighting machines; the original engravings for Jules Verne's novels by Alphonse de Neuville and Édouard Riou (Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, 1871) and Henri de Montaut and Émile Bayard (From the Earth to the Moon, 1868 to 1872); and Albert Robida's 1893 drawings of a future world with airships, aerial houses and submarine warfare. It also includes J.J. Grandville's Un autre monde (1843) and a Soviet poster about the future (1924).

The works show how 19th-century artists first pictured future technology.

The black-and-white engravings suit studies, offices and game rooms. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
