Bold black letters spelling KG BRÜCKE cut across a red panel at the top. Below, a reclining figure fills the sheet in flat ochre-yellow against black, dark wavy hair loose about the shoulders, red lips, head turned toward the viewer. Both arms cross the body, the hands cradling a small round-headed figure at the center. A red panel at the lower right names the exhibition venue, Galerie Arnold; the artist signs E. L. Kirchner at the lower left.

Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880–1938) was a founder of Die Brücke, the artists' group central to the birth of German Expressionism. An architecture student in Dresden, he formed the group in 1905 with Fritz Bleyl, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, and they revived the woodcut alongside painting. After moving to Berlin in 1911 he painted his street scenes of the city, and following a breakdown during the First World War he settled in Davos. In 1937 the Nazis condemned his work as degenerate. His work is held by the Brücke-Museum, the Kirchner Museum Davos and the Museum of Modern Art.

Printed as a museum-grade giclée on Hahnemühle fine art paper using 12-ink archival pigment printing. Available handframed in FSC-certified wood with optional float glass, or unframed. Ships worldwide with free delivery to 30+ countries.
