Animals Art Prints

Animal art prints: paintings, woodblock prints, engravings and illustrations in which animals are a main subject, including birds, tigers, horses, deer, insects and fish. Artists include Ohara Koson (Japanese bird-and-flower woodblock prints of herons, crows and peacocks), Tokuriki Tomikichiro and Shiro Kasamatsu, William Morris and Arthur Heygate Mackmurdo (Arts and Crafts designs with birds and squirrels), and Jean-Léon Gérôme (tigers, horses and hounds, 19th century).

It also includes vintage natural history illustrations of butterflies and moths, Hans Baldung Grien's 16th-century woodcuts of horses, William Blake's The Tyger, and Edgar Degas.

The works were chosen for how closely each artist observed the animal, from scientific illustration to decorative pattern and painted drama.

The bird prints and butterfly illustrations suit bedrooms, kitchens and children's rooms; the tiger and horse paintings work as a single large piece in a living room or study. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
