Autumn Art Prints

Autumn art prints: paintings, woodblock prints, posters and illustrations of autumn foliage, harvest, the autumn moon and Thanksgiving. The largest group is Japanese shin-hanga woodblock prints of autumn landscapes and lakes by Kawase Hasui and Hiroshi Yoshida (1920s to 1940s), with ukiyo-e by Katsushika Hokusai. European paintings include Pieter Bruegel the Elder's The Return of the Herd (1565), Francisco de Goya's Autumn (1786), pointillist landscapes by Henri Martin, works by Paul Gauguin and Alfred Sisley, and Canadian forest scenes by Tom Thomson (1915). Illustration and poster art includes Eugène Grasset's month prints, George Barbier's Art Deco fashion plates (1922 to 1925), and American Thanksgiving covers by J.C. Leyendecker, Will Bradley and Louis Rhead.

The selection follows the season from harvest to first frost.

The rust, gold and brown palettes suit dining rooms, living rooms and entryways. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.

Maynard Dixon (1875–1946) was the pre-eminent painter of the American Southwest, whose monumental, spare landscapes of the desert, the plains, and the open sky define the visual mythology of the region. A significant figure in American Regionalism, his work is held in the Smithsonian American Art Museum and major Western collections.

Each print is made to our Archival Museum Standards: a 12-ink giclée, printed to order. Unframed prints are made on Hahnemühle German Etching, a 310gsm matte fine-art paper. Framed prints arrive in a handmade solid-wood frame with low-reflection glazing, ready to hang.
