Birds Art Prints

Bird art prints: woodblock prints, paintings, patterns, posters and illustrations in which birds are a main subject. Artists include Ohara Koson (Japanese bird-and-flower woodblock prints of herons, crows, geese, robins and peacocks, early 20th century), William Morris and Arthur Heygate Mackmurdo (Arts and Crafts designs with pheasants and birds), and Art Nouveau artists Otto Eckmann, Louis Rhead, Georges de Feure and Alphonse Mucha (1890s).

It also includes Ludwig Hohlwein's posters, French 18th-century paintings by François Boucher, Jean-Baptiste Greuze and Fragonard, Indian miniature paintings, and alchemical engravings with birds.

The selection shows birds treated as pattern, as close observation and as symbol, across Japanese, European and Indian traditions.

The Koson prints and Morris patterns suit bedrooms, kitchens and garden rooms; the tall, narrow woodblock formats fit beside a window or in a pair along a hallway. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
