Gold Art Prints

Gold art prints: manuscripts, paintings, posters and illustrations in which gold is a dominant colour. The largest group is Islamic calligraphy and illumination: Qur'an folios from Iran (14th century) and the Timurid period, Ottoman hilye, and pages from the Mughal Shah Jahan Album by calligraphers Mir 'Ali Haravi and Sultan 'Ali al-Mashhadi.

It also includes Indian miniature paintings from the Mewar, Bikaner and Kota schools, Renaissance portraits by Lucas Cranach the Elder, Hans Holbein the Younger and Paolo Veronese, Art Nouveau posters by Alphonse Mucha, and vintage natural history butterflies.

The gold pages and portraits suit living rooms, dining rooms and entryways, and pair well with brass or warm wood. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
