Maurice Pepin was a French Art Deco illustrator who contributed covers and fashion illustrations to Le Sourire and other Parisian publications of the 1910s and 1920s. Working in the heyday of French magazine illustration, he produced images of elegant wit and chromatic refinement that capture the spirit of Parisian sophistication between the Belle Époque and the Jazz Age.
