Plinio Codognato (1878–1940) was an Italian graphic designer and poster artist known for his vivid motorsport and automotive advertising work of the 1920s. His 1923 Fiat racing poster captures the visceral speed and mechanical beauty of early Grand Prix racing with the graphic economy of a master: bold red, strong diagonal energy, and a car that seems to leap off the paper. It remains one of the finest vintage motorsport posters ever produced.
