Takahashi Shōtei (1871–1945) was a leading Shin Hanga printmaker whose serene landscapes — cherry blossoms, mountain paths, coastal scenes — became some of the movement's most widely collected images. Working with publishers Watanabe and Kawaguchi, he produced prints of refined atmospheric beauty that balance traditional Japanese sensibility with the Western influence of Impressionist light and colour. His works are sought after by collectors worldwide.
