A woman with a stylised pale grey-blue face, dark-shadowed eyes and red lips wears a green turban and a loosely sketched white gown gathered at the hip. She stands beside dark leaves and pink and purple roses, an arm reaching toward a small white bird with red and green markings. The dress is built from broad strokes of white gouache over visible pencil under-drawing, set against a warm brown ground.

Umberto Brunelleschi (1879–1949) was an Italian illustrator and stage designer who made his career in Paris. Trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, he moved to Paris in 1900, drew for Le Rire and L'Assiette au beurre, and contributed to luxury fashion journals such as the Gazette du Bon Ton, becoming known for his use of pochoir. He designed costumes and sets for the Folies Bergère, the Casino de Paris and La Scala, and illustrated some thirty books. His work is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the KB, national library of the Netherlands.

Printed as a museum-grade giclée on Hahnemühle fine art paper using 12-ink archival pigment printing. Available handframed in FSC-certified wood with optional float glass, or unframed. Ships worldwide with free delivery to 30+ countries.
