Hiroshi Yoshida (1880–1955) was one of the most celebrated shin-hanga artists of the 20th century. His "new woodblock" works revolutionized Japanese printmaking, blending traditional ukiyo-e techniques with modernist sensibility. Yoshida is renowned for sweeping landscapes—mountains, waterfalls, temples—and travel scenes from Egypt, India, and beyond. Each work combines bold composition, atmospheric color, and a minimalist elegance that defined the shin-hanga movement at its peak.

This print is hand-printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper using a 12-ink archival giclée process. Museum studios use this same paper stock.
