These posters, commissioned to promote the great Italian motor races and luxury brands, combine the formal vocabulary of international Art Deco with a distinctly Italian sense of theatrical energy, primary colour, and mechanical glamour. They belong to the tradition of Italian graphic design that ran from the great futurists through to the postwar masters.
