A wide black-and-cream umbrella shelters a figure in a grey robe brushed with stylised characters, its hem showing an under-robe patterned with red ivy leaves, berries and chrysanthemums. One hand grips a sword hilt drawn part way from its scabbard; a sandal rests on a low wooden stand. Behind, a harbour opens onto calm blue water where a sailboat crosses before distant mountains and a shoreline town. A red title cartouche names the station at the upper right, Hiroshige's diamond seal sits at the left and Kunisada's red cartouche at the lower right.

The Fifty-three Stations by Two Brushes (1854–57) paired the two most popular print artists of late Edo: Utagawa Hiroshige (1797–1858), the landscape master of the Tōkaidō road, and Utagawa Kunisada (1786–1865), the leading designer of actor and figure prints. Each sheet sets a Kunisada figure — an actor, a beauty, a legendary character — before a Hiroshige view of the station behind. The series is held by the British Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Printed as a museum-grade giclée on Hahnemühle fine art paper using 12-ink archival pigment printing. Available handframed in FSC-certified wood with optional float glass, or unframed. Ships worldwide with free delivery to 30+ countries.
