A warrior in green lamellar armor stands braced with a katana at his hip, a large red haori patterned with an interlocking key motif draped over his shoulders. He grips the trunk of a blossoming tree at his left, its branches heavy with white and pink flowers, with snow-covered peaks and pine forest filling the panel behind him. Hiroshige's brushed signature and a red diamond seal sit on the sky; Kunisada's red signature cartouche, two black seals and an engraver's seal sit at lower left.

The Fifty-three Stations by Two Brushes (1854–57) paired the two most popular print artists of late Edo: Utagawa Hiroshige (1797–1858), the landscape master of the Tōkaidō road, and Utagawa Kunisada (1786–1865), the leading designer of actor and figure prints. Each sheet sets a Kunisada figure — an actor, a beauty, a legendary character — before a Hiroshige view of the station behind. The series is held by the British Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Printed as a museum-grade giclée on Hahnemühle fine art paper using 12-ink archival pigment printing. Available handframed in FSC-certified wood with optional float glass, or unframed. Ships worldwide with free delivery to 30+ countries.
