V. Strimaitis was a Soviet graphic designer whose bold constructivist posters were produced for Lithuanian Soviet state agencies during the mid-20th century. Working in the tradition of Soviet poster art — vivid flat colour, strong diagonals, stark typography — Strimaitis brought graphic clarity to public safety campaigns, film promotions, and ideological messaging. His work exemplifies the Soviet design vocabulary: urgent, direct, and visually arresting. These prints are documents of a vanished visual culture as much as they are art objects.
Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper — the same stock museum studios use — through a twelve-ink archival pigment process that holds colour the way memory holds detail: precisely, completely. Frames are solid ash and oak, hand-made to order. Nothing between you and the image.
