Patterns

Pattern art prints: repeating wallpaper, textile and ornament designs from the 19th century. Most of the collection is William Morris's botanical patterns from 1862 to 1892, including Trellis, Honeysuckle, Chrysanthemum, Larkspur, Marigold, Pimpernel, Wild Tulip and Bramble and Squirrels. Related Arts and Crafts designs are by John Henry Dearle of the Morris studio, Arthur Heygate Mackmurdo (Artichoke, Birds and Squirrels, 1880) and Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof. Ornament plates come from Owen Jones's The Grammar of Ornament (1856), with Egyptian, Greek, Pompeian, Persian and Arabesque designs, and from Prisse d'Avennes's Arabian pattern studies (1869). Several patterns are also sold as matching duos and trios.

The botanical repeats suit kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms; the ornament plates work in hallways and studies, hung in rows or grids. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
