Kawanabe Kyōsai (1831–1889) was one of the most brilliant and irreverent painters of Meiji Japan — a virtuoso draughtsman who studied both the Kanō school and ukiyo-e traditions before developing a wildly individual style that combined supernatural imagery, biting satire, and exceptional painterly freedom. Known as the demon of painting, his works — frogs, demons, ravens, sleeping cats — mix wit and technical mastery in a voice entirely his own.

Printed as a museum-grade giclée on Hahnemühle fine art paper using 12-ink archival pigment printing. Available handframed in FSC-certified wood with optional float glass, or unframed. Ships worldwide with free delivery to 30+ countries.
