Nishimura Shigenaga — Chinese Lion, Peonies and Rock | Ukiyo-e Print
Note: Framed prints require slightly longer production time
Nishimura Shigenaga (1697–1756) was one of the key early masters of the Edo-period woodblock print — a printmaker who worked in the period before Harunobu's colour prints and whose compositions laid the formal groundwork for the great flowering of ukiyo-e. His actor prints and mythological subjects have the bold simplicity of the early tradition and a vigour that anticipates the later masters.
Printed as a museum-grade giclée on Hahnemühle fine art paper using 12-ink archival pigment printing. Available handframed in FSC-certified wood with optional float glass, or unframed. Ships worldwide with free delivery to 30+ countries.
