Joyful Art Prints

Joyful art prints: bright paintings, posters and illustrations of celebrations, festivals, music, dancing and holidays. The collection includes German and Swiss posters by Ludwig Hohlwein and Emil Cardinaux (1909 to 1921) for cafés, food, travel and winter resorts; Soviet posters of the 1920s celebrating May Day, pioneers and the circus; Indian miniature paintings of Holi, Krishna dancing with the gopis and royal weddings from the Kota, Bikaner and Kangra schools; and Orientalist scenes of performers, swings and village life by Étienne Dinet, Rudolf Ernst and Ludwig Deutsch. It also includes fairy illustrations by Warwick Goble and Jessie M. King's children's book illustrations. These works suit kitchens, living rooms and children's rooms.

The bright posters read well from across a room; the miniatures and Dinet paintings work in pairs at eye level. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
