Romantic Art Prints
Romantic art prints: paintings, posters and illustrations of love, courtship, flowers and graceful female figures. The collection includes Indian miniature paintings of Radha and Krishna from the Amber, Bundi, Jaipur, Kangra and Bikaner schools (17th to 19th century); Art Nouveau posters and prints from the 1890s and 1900s by Alphonse Mucha, Eugène Grasset, Henri Privat-Livemont, Louis Rhead and Paul Berthon; Walter Crane's Flora's Feast flower illustrations (1889); and German Art Nouveau prints by Heinrich Vogeler and Hans Christiansen. Other works include Gustave Moreau's Song of Songs, Armand Point's The Golden Legend, Edmund Dulac's Aladdin illustrations, George Barbier's La Flûte de Pan (1923) and Leopoldo Metlicovitz's Madama Butterfly poster.
The works were chosen for grace and ornament, with a strong group of Art Nouveau design.
The soft, floral palettes suit bedrooms, dressing rooms and sitting rooms; the tall Mucha panels fit narrow walls and pairs. All prints are museum-quality reproductions, available unframed or framed with low-glare acrylic glazing, with free shipping and import duties covered.
