Eugène Roux was a French lithographer and poster artist active at the turn of the 20th century, best known for his striking 1897 poster for Moullot Frères, the celebrated Marseille printing house. The design's intricate mosaic-inspired ornamentation places it firmly in the Art Nouveau tradition while its Provençal warmth distinguishes it from Parisian contemporaries. A rare and beautiful example of regional French Art Nouveau at its most accomplished.

Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper — the same stock museum studios use — through a twelve-ink archival pigment process that holds colour the way memory holds detail: precisely, completely. Frames are solid ash and oak, hand-made to order. Nothing between you and the image.
