George Barbier — L'Air | Art Nouveau Fashion Illustration Print
George Barbier (1882–1932) was the supreme master of Art Deco fashion illustration — a French artist whose images of elegant women in exotic gowns, Japanese-influenced lacquer settings, and mythological tableaux defined the visual language of haute couture in the 1910s and 1920s. Contributing to the legendary Gazette du Bon Ton and producing book illustrations, theatre programmes, and prints of extraordinary refinement, he worked at the intersection of Art Nouveau ornament and the bold flat planes of the emerging Art Deco style. His works are among the most collected decorative prints of the early 20th century.
Printed as a museum-grade giclée on Hahnemühle fine art paper using 12-ink archival pigment printing. Available handframed in FSC-certified wood with optional float glass, or unframed. Ships worldwide with free delivery to 30+ countries.
